Yesterday this incredibly lucky meerkat had the fortune of experiencing what goes on behind the scenes as U2 prepare to blow South Africa away tomorrow night (February 13th) in Johannesburg. You’ve all seen the rig, the giant prawn that allows fans the opportunity to experience Bono & CO. in all their Irish glory from 360 degrees. If you’ve been living under a rock, watch this:

The rig absolutely dwarfs the FNB Stadium and it is truly a sight to behold. Whether you’re a U2 fan or not, this in an experience of a lifetime and one you do not want to miss. Computicket’s manager announced yesterday that a few extra tickets had just been released across all price bands. Go to to get your paws on ’em, now! If you miss the Jozi leg, you can catch ’em in Cape Town on February 18th.

A massive thank you to 94.7 Highveld Stereo and Primedia for giving us the opportunity to experience this production behind-the-scenes.

Roll on Sunday, bloody Sunday.
