Tuesday marked the launch of Old Mutual’s Shesha Tuks initiative with a blogger tuk-tuk race through the streets of Sandton. 25 tuk-tuks branded with Old Mutual’s CSI inititiatives (LEAP Science and Maths School, the Heiveld Co-operative, the Bulungula Lemon Grass Ladies, Old Mutual Legends Programme and the Wildlands Conservation Trust) will be available to the public at R25 (3KM radius) and R35 (5KM radius) between 6AM and 6PM daily. The Piaggio tuk-tuks will offer commuters in Sandton a fun and affordable alternative to taxis, whilst acting as mobile billboards in the area. Travel via Shesha Tuks will be free for the first two weeks of operation, so hop on!
